1. Ash gourd(petha) - 500 grams
2. Colocasia(Arbi) - 250 grams
3. Green chillies - 8 - 10
4. Coconut - 1(grated)
5. Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon
6. Curry leaves - 2 strands
7. salt - to taste

Method of preparation:

Beat the grated cocunut with 11/2 cups of water in a mixie , take out the milk and keep aside. Clean and cut the ash gourd and colocasia into 1" square and 1 cm. thick slices. Slit the green chillies. Cook the vegetables with a little water and salt till the vegetables become soft and the water almost dries up. Reduce the flame and mix the vegetables with a spoon. Add the coconut milk and bring to a boil. Remove from fire. Garnish with curry leaves and coconut oil and serve.

Note: The constitency of the dish should be thick.
